Stephen Vann attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan. His decades-long career in orchestra management, during which he served as General Manager of the New York Philharmonic, among others, evolved into one as a serial entrepreneur and investor, lending his results-oriented, multinational approach to early- stage startups, real estate and financial markets. Stephen is a member of the National Recording Arts and Sciences, and votes annually for the Grammy Awards. He has been an invited speaker at the Crain’s Business Forum NY, Harvard University, League of American Orchestras, Manhattan School of Music and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, among others. Stephen is also a dedicated musician, singing tenor with several New York City choral organizations, whose performances include concerts at Carnegie Hall. In addition to Musicians Foundation, Stephen is a board member of the Heritage Society of Interlochen and a member of several international food and wine societies, including the Commanderie de Bordeaux and the Chaîne des Rotîsseurs.
Musicians Foundation is overseen by a dedicated board, administration, and advisory council with a love for music — our shared source of joy, inspiration, and incomparable, irreplaceable artistry.
